Affinity-purified polyclonal antibody against human Factor XI (FXI)

Polyclonal sheep antibodies directed against human Factor XI (FXI), used in hemostasis research. The sheep were immunized with human Factor XI to induce an immune response, leading to the production of antibodies specifically targeting Factor XI. After a certain period, blood was collected from the immunized sheep, and all antibodies were isolated — both those directed against human Factor XI (in large quantities) and natural antibodies against sheep Factor XI. The antibodies were then purified by affinity chromatography using human Factor XI, in order to eliminate antibodies not directed against human Factor XI.

The main advantage of affinity chromatography purification lies in increased specificity and sensitivity, reduced background signals, and improved reproducibility through the removal of non-specific antibodies.

These antibodies are ideal for:

• Research on coagulation disorders, including FXI deficiency
