CPDA (Citrate, Phosphate, Dextrose, Adenine) is an anticoagulant used to preserve whole blood and red blood cells for up to 35 days.
It prolongs the survival of red blood cells by providing the adenine necessary to maintain the ATP level of red blood cells.
It also maintains platelet viability.
Special plasmas are derived from patients with a congenital deficiency, severe or moderate, or presenting a particular profile.
No buffer or preservatives are added. Quickly frozen at -80° C, the plasma maintains perfectly intact the matrix. All plasmas are stable when stored at -40° C to -80° C.
